Scared Geometry
This class is a practical and theory-based Introduction to Geometry and Sacred Art around the world exploring our relationship with nature, the cosmos, human creativity and potential. Together we will draw upon Archetypal Forms.
The Circle, Spiral, Triangle and Square channelling their mystical qualities and profound nature.
Geometry occurs in the art and crafts of cultures throughout human history, directly inspired by the rhythms and structures of life itself. Its principles are beyond time and place.
In this workshop participants will investigate principles of symmetry and tessellation.
These universal principles govern growth and structure and are found in both crystalline and botanical nature.
We will discuss geometry in symbology and the planetary movements, the platonic solids theorised upon by Plato, Leonardo Divinci and Joseph Kepler
and examine the key family of natural proportions.
No skills are required
Open to entry level and advanced geometers
All materials are provided
$150 pp

Your mentor
Stephanie June Ellis is an International Artist, Mentor, Author and a leading specialist in The Art Of Sacred Geometry. Through her workshops and retreats she engages with worldwide communities offering wellness through the creative process with a focus on Cultural Heritage, Conservation and Wellness through patterns.
Primarily working with ink on paper, her creative practice and offerings centre around crystalline and botanical patterns which aim to transcend viewers beyond the physical world and encourage a wider vision of awareness.
Stephanie truly believes that geometry contains the power to unify the four dimensions of the mind; ~ Body, emotion, soul and spirit.
She has dedicated her life to exploring primordial patterns and symbols ( the circle, the square, the triangle ) which operate in the psyche of everyday individuals. By exploring these principles, her journey continues, soaking up the very essence of ~ The Art Of Process.
A nomad at heart, Stephanie has lived in various parts of Australia, Bali, Singapore and London.
She has and continues to travel extensively, working closely with Artisans, Marine Biologists, Ecologists and NGOS focusing on wellbeing and education.
She has worked with a long list of publishers, schools, universities, community organisations and retreat centres across the globe including Bali Mountain Retreat Centre, Flores Del Camino Spain, The Brisbane Institute Of Art, Latrobe University, Barossa Regional Gallery, The Ismaili Centre Toronto, Dumbo Feather Magazine, Art Of Islamic Pattern and Uk based charities The Common Ground Collective & The Creative Dimension.
Love Notes ~
“I have always thought & believed art should be offered and accessible to everyone, it's not about grades, technique. it's about self-expression. Visual art is extremely therapeutic, euphoric and joyful. I have been experimenting with the concept of Mandalas and how process art offers something that is not too scary; it feels more free and safe. As soon as a feeling of trust takes over, people respond with powerful unique creations. Their minds unfold rapidly, reflecting and shedding the chatter along with their personality and current emotional state …Someone once said that The mind is a good servant but a bad master; Humans are so tied up in our minds we tend to lose our senses. By collaborating with art and nature, we gift our senses the time and space to listen."
"Essentially - the point can’t be explained in words because art is not words - but after a while, you will understand the point
and that point will be the art itself."

Art and Soul
Creative Drop in Sessions
Be spontaneous, creative and just come along!
When: Every Saturday (Art and Soul will resume on June 17th 2023)
10am – 12pm
We are delighted that Beth Cohen is going to start holding the Art & Soul space at Creative C in Warrandyte. Beth has been a regular participant to this Saturday morning space and she brings a gentle, creative and deeply respectful presence to Creative C, along with her counselling background. For those of you who are yet to experience this soulful time on a Saturday morning we highly recommend giving your heart and soul this time to just be, no pressure, time to relax, listen to soft music and create whatever is in your heart and soul in the moment. Whilst this creative time could be done in your own homes there's something about being in the creative studio alongside others which makes the Art and Soul time beautiful. Most participants have walked away a lot calmer than when they arrived.
Bridget who was holding this space has accepted a full time teaching position at an indigenous school near Uluru. She will still stay connected with Creative C online and looks forward to visiting whenever she comes back to Melbourne during the school holiday periods.

Judy Tuwaletstiwa, a remarkable visual artist
As we enter the month of June, we are delighted to bring you an extraordinary gift—an insight into the artistic journey of Judy Tuwaletstiwa, a remarkable visual artist, writer, and teacher. Her work has found a place in private and museum collections both nationally and internationally, leaving an indelible mark on the art world.
Judy's artistic path began after she earned degrees in English Literature from U.C. Berkeley and Harvard University. It was during this time that she discovered the profound power of visual art to connect us with the deepest parts of ourselves. Since then, Judy has devoted her life to exploring and expressing this transformative power through various artistic mediums.
As a teacher, Judy has a unique ability to guide others on their own creative journeys. She helps individuals explore their unique creative vision, encouraging them to unlock their inner potential. Her teachings reflect the wisdom gained from her artistic practice:
"Art has taught me that walls and doorways are the same thing.
Art has taught me that an image can be a transformative gift of healing.
Art has taught me that what we see is only a fraction of what is there.
Art has taught me that the longer I make art, the greater the mystery."
To offer you a deeper understanding of Judy's profound insights, we are pleased to present an inspirational video that unveils the underpinnings of her artistic practice. You can watch this captivating video by following this link: https://vimeo.com/335996312.
We hope this gift from the Creative C will inspire and uplift you, inviting you to explore your own creative potential and delve into the mysteries that art holds. May Judy's journey serve as a guiding light on your own path of self-expression and discovery.
With warmest regards,
The Creative C Team
