Susan Wirth
Artist and Community Arts Worker
Grad dip in Art therapy, BA Fine Arts (VCA)
Hello fellow creatives,
My name is Susan Wirth and I am an artist and community arts worker.
I believe in art making’s capacity to connect aspects of our unique selves sometimes lost in our busy lives. This creative practise can instil a feeling of well being and purpose while renewing a sense of hope, vitality and connection.
Next year I am facilitating Open Studio sessions weekly at the Creative Continuum Studio. My aim for these sessions is to provide a safe and supportive space for people to become absorbed in a creative process within a gentle, non judgemental environment. Whether your creative needs are for personal expression, idea generation, concept development, or support to realise projects through accessing resources. I bring my experience working across a range of materials and methods through my art training and community arts practise to provide practical assistance and support. I worked for over ten years in community settings focusing on mental health recovery through art making, I also hold a a BFA from Victorian College of the Arts and Grad dip in Art therapy from Latrobe, and currently work in aged care with people who are experiencing dementia.
